Over 400 Adventist health professionals and students, from Brazil and surrounding countries met in Bento Gonçalves, Brazil, eager to learn more on how to model Christ in their work place as well as to commit themselves to a life of service. Drs. Peter Landless and Viriato Ferreira encouraged the group to allow the love of God to be seen in them, whether they worked in clinical practice, lab work or in community service. The meeting was strongly supported by local Church leaders. Over 20 pastors were present and Peter Landless encouraged all to follow the blended ministry of Jesus, with pastors and Bible workers working hand-in-hand with health professionals, meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients. Grace is the basis of the healing message of Jesus and this should also be the theme of our service. A new national network of Adventist health professionals was established. We can expect to hear much from this inspiring group. Maranatha!
