Immunization saves millions of lives every year and is widely recognized as one of the world’s most successful and cost-effective health interventions. Yet, there are still nearly 20 million unvaccinated and under-vaccinated children in the world today. This year’s theme for the WHO World Immunization Week is Protected Together: Vaccines Work!
Many people are misinformed about the risks of vaccines. The Adventist Church has published guidelines for vaccinations, encouraging members to be vaccinated and immunized. These can be accessed at https://www.adventist.org/information/official-statements/guidelines/article/go/0/immunization.
